Lisa Sexton grew up in Rochester, New York. She received her cosmetology license right out of high school. At 23, she opened her own salon in Rochester. After two years, she sold her salon to her assistant and moved to San Francisco, California. She worked full-time for a salon and taught color on a part-time basis for L’Oreal. After teaching part time for 4 years she accepted the full time position of L’Oreal Educational Manager of the South West.
Lisa’s passion for hair and personal contact with clientele led her from teaching, back to doing hair behind the chair. She worked for two prominent salons in West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. From there, she moved to NYC and work for a color salon on Madison Avenue. Lisa returned to Los Angeles in 2004 and has happily made Capella Salon her home.
Lisa is a certified cosmetologist and licensed hair extensions professional. She takes extreme pride in her work providing the best cut, color, and/or style. She is also dedicated to educating her clients on how to treat and maintain the healthiest hair possible.
